Mufatel
sleeve is made of super-sleeve material, which combines
the strength and durability of composite design with proven heat-shrink
technology. Sleeve material is composed of several layers of specially
blended polymers and adhesives, a fiber-reinforcing layer, and an
aluminum moisture vapor barrier layer. The fiber-reinforcing layer
provides excellent mechanical strength, and eliminates the propagation
of localized damage that can result from overheating or other errors
in installation. Once the sleeve has been installed, the composite
design of the super-sleeve material provides superior mechanical protection
from forced such as impact, abrasion, UV light, and atmospheric contamination.
1. Heat-shrinkable composite joint closure system for environmental and mechanical protection of joints in the unpressurised telephone network: aerial, buried or ducted, non-filled or jelly filled, with polyethylene, lead, steel or aluminum sheaths.
2. Composite structure of the reinforced sleeve offers an excellent resistance to mechanical abuse during and after the installation.
3. Integrated moisture barrier completely reconstitutes the cable sheath over the total splice area.
4. Hot-melt adhesive forms a watertight seal to the cable sheath.
5. A metal canister instead of liner shapes and mechanically protects the splice bundle much better..
6. Up to 2 cables at each end can be accommodated using three finger clips with hot-melt adhesive.
7. Installation indicators: heat sensitive paint and adhesive flow, white line.
8. Extended size range can accommodate splices up to 800 pair with any connector type.
9. Excellent performance under high humidity and in tropical condition
